Department of Finance

Department of Finance was established on 3 December 2013 r. as a result of the transformation of the Division of Finance, which was established on 1 July 2002 and was created from the fusion of the Division of Analysis and Methods of Economics Account on the Faculty of Economics the branch of Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Rzeszow and Department of Economics on the Faculty of Economics in Rzeszow - Agricultural Academy in Krakow.

The main scientific interests of employed in the Department are focused on the following issues of research: financial analysis and financial accounting intellectual capital, banking cooperative, financial effectiveness of activities in special economic zones in Poland, finances of local governments and public sector entities, financial and cost accounting of healthcare institutions, methods of assessment the risk of bankruptcy of enterprises, operational and strategic management of corporate finance, tax optimization, evolution of tax systems, accounting tax, accounting small and medium enterprises, financial restructuring, the use of derivatives in investment strategies and hedging, risk management in the capital market and the theory of diversification and risk.
