Laboratory of Protective Coatings as a part of Laboratory of Material Technologies for Industry is engaged in manufacturing thin layers and coatings. Thin-coated materials are the basis of up-to-date technologies applied in the recent construction solutions. Main application field examples are as follows: mechanically, and thermally resistant coatings, layers for photovoltaics and electronics, ceramic barriers, etc. Capabilities of the production of thin-film structures provide high-tech vacuum computer controlled modular devices for PVD (Physical Vapour Deposition) and PLD (Pulsed Laser Deposition) techniques. It also opens the wide range of film manufacturing possibilities, such as magnetron-, thermal-, plasma-, electron and laser- sputtering in a different conditions with the inert and non-inert gas background.
