The Faculty of Physical Education of the University of Rzeszów was created 1st April 2005. Its history, however, dates back to 1988 when the department of physical education was set up at the University of Pedagogy.

 

The number of students enrolled at the Faculty in the 2017/2018 academic year is over 1318.

 

There were 87 academic and teaching Staff, including 14 professors employed at the Faculty as at the end of 2017/2018..

 

Education takes place at both bachelor’s and master’s levels.

 

Major: TOURISM AND RECREATION

Regular and part-time bachelor’s studies lasting 6 semesters.

Regular and part-time master’s studies lasting 4 semesters

Specialty:

  • Health Tourism
  • International Toursim

  • Tourism Business
  • Cultural Tourism

 

Major: PHYSICAL EDUCATION

Regular and part-time bachelor’s studies lasting 6 semesters.

Modules:

  • Sports Instructor
  • Fitness Instructor
  • Children Motive Activity Instructor
  • Physical Education  in uniformed  services
  • Specialist in molecular and cellular physiology in the physical training.

Regular and part-time master’s studies lasting 4 semesters

Modules:

  • Personal Training Instructor
  • Health Coach
  • Dance Instructor
  • Sports Instructor
  • Coaching Module

 

 

The Faculty of Physical Education offers opportunities to study tourism, recreation and physical education within the framework of the „European” program. The innovative approach encourages the acquisition of industry-related foreign language, including fluency in use of professional terminologies in the given field.
