Representative and Commissioner for Equal Treatment

The Rector's Representative for Equal Treatment (term 2024-2028):

The Rector's Representative for Equal Treatment is PhD Piotr Sowiński, Professor University od Rzeszow. The Representative acts for the benefit of the entire community of the University of Rzeszów and reports directly to the Rector of the University of Rzeszów. The three most important duties of the Representative are:

• undertaking actions for equal treatment and non-discrimination (including on the basis of sex, age, disability, religion, denomination or worldview, psychosexual orientation or gender identity), including, in particular, handling matters concerning the protection of the rights of foreigners and representatives of national and ethnic minorities,
• chairing the work of the Commission for Equal Treatment,
• ensuring the timely and correct implementation of the Gender Equality Plan.

Equal Treatment Committee (term 2024-2028):

The Committee has two main tasks:

• conducting formal proceedings in the event of a discrimination complaint,
• supporting the Rector's Representative for Equal Treatment in the timely and correct implementation of the Gender Equality Plan.
