We are pleased to inform you that on January 21st of this year, the Polish Patent Office published patent number 246431, granted for the invention titled "Hybrid Sound-Absorbing and Insulating System, Passive-Active," authored by Professor Lucyna Leniowska and Dr Marcin Grochowina, MSc from the Faculty of Exact and Technical Sciences.

The solution was achieved by combining passive sound-absorbing materials with a modeled steel plate loaded with a vibrating point mass. The developed system is a multi-layer hybrid structure that can be used in both active and passive methods of vibration and noise reduction for frequencies in the range of 100-5000 Hz.
