About the Institute
The Institute of Art Education was established in 1995 and then transformed into the Institute of Fine Arts in 2001. Over the years, the Institute underwent many changes. Currently, the Institute is a part of the College of Humanities and comprises several departments, including the Department of Painting, Department of Artistic Printmaking and Art Theory, Department of Graphic Design and Multimedia, and Department of Drawing. The Institute actively participates in several national and international projects and cooperates with various companies and cultural institutions. The Institute is entitled to confer doctoral degrees in two disciplines, namely Fine Arts and Conservation of Fine Arts. The Institute is also responsible for the W.Kotkowski Art Gallery, a venue that organises art exhibitions, gatherings, author meetings, and presentations dedicated to promoting fine arts.
