About the Institute
Established in 2019, the Institute of Modern Languages at Rzeszów University represents a significant advancement in the university's commitment to linguistic scholarship and pedagogy. Integrating the established expertise of three pre-existing language institutes and the Department of Applied Linguistics, the Institute provides a comprehensive and rigorous academic environment for the study of English, German, and Russian. Our curriculum encompasses a wide spectrum of linguistic disciplines, extending our reach to include a newly implemented BA program in Media, Visual, and Social Communication (October 2024).
Our Departments:
The Institute is comprised of the following departments, each dedicated to fostering rigorous scholarship and innovative teaching:

- Media, Visual and Social Communication: This dynamic unit explores the multifaceted ways in which meaning is constructed and communicated through various media. Our research investigates the social impact of visual communication, the evolving nature of digital media, and the persuasive power of social media platforms.
