Academic research
The academic research at the College is focused on Humanities and Fine Arts and is carried out in seven Institutes, including:
- Institute of Archaeology
- Institute of History
- Institute of Philosophy
- Institute of Modern Languages
- Institute of Music
- Institute of Polish Studies and Journalism
- Institute of Fine Arts
Due to the location of the University, the research focus remains on investigating aspects related to the borderlands of Poland, Ukraine, and Slovakia. More universal projects are also carried out at the College. A wide variety of research endeavours (research grants, bilateral and international research cooperation programmes) allows our staff to cooperate with researchers in Poland and abroad, including academic centres close to Rzeszow (the University of Presov, Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, and Drohobych Ivan Franko State Pedagogical University), as well as more remote research centres. This cooperation yields fruitful results, and the findings are regularly published in renowned journals and in the form of monographs. Artistic achievements of the staff are displayed in renowned art galleries and concert halls. The College actively collaborates with public and commercial institutions, allowing for the practical application of its research potential.
