Ceremony of doctoral

On February 16 this year, at the University of Rzeszów, we had the opportunity to celebrate one of the most important events in the life of the academic community together with the distinguished students. During the ceremony, the Rector's awards, distinctions and the Medal of the University of Rzeszów were presented.

Medal of the University of Rzeszów

The ceremony began with the awarding of the Medal of the University of Rzeszów to prof. Anna Wilmowska-Pietruszynska. Prof. Ph.D. n. med. Artur Mazur, Vice-Rector for the College of Medical Sciences, presented the profile of the Awardee. His Rector awarded the Medal to prof. Anna Wilmowska-Pietruszynska, flowers were given by a student representing "Resovia Saltans" .

Rector's Awards

During the ceremony, the Rector's Awards of the University of Rzeszów were also presented. This part of the ceremony was led by the Vice-Rector for the College of Social Sciences, prof. Ph.D. Elżbieta Feret.

An individual award for obtaining the title of professor was given to prof. Ph.D. Sabina Grabowska.

An individual award for obtaining a habilitated doctor's degree was awarded to Dr. hab. Marta Kopańska.

Doctoral and habilitation promotions

Half a year has passed since the last Promotion ceremony at the University of Rzeszów, during which time 52 adepts of humanities, social, biological, agricultural and health sciences, pursuant to resolutions of the relevant college councils of our University, obtained doctoral degrees, and 5 people obtained habilitation degrees.

The doctoral promotion ceremony has a special character. It is the final, nice accent of many years of effort of doctors, the immeasurable scientific care of supervisors and the friendly care of many institutional units of our University. - said JM prof. Ph.D. Sylwester Czopek, Rector of the University of Rzeszów.
