The scientific activity of the laboratory

The aim of the Manufacturing Engineering Laboratory is to conduct research and development and implementation works in the field of modern technologies for machine design and maintenance and mechatronics:

  • development and application research for: unconventional manufacturing technologies, environmentally friendly manufacturing technologies, rapid prototyping and rapid manufacturing, mechatronics, surface engineering, diagnostics of machines and devices, technical metrology,
  • the development of innovative products and manufacturing processes: production processes optimation, computer-aided technological processes, surface engineering technologies
  • designing of innovative construction, research on the possibilities of a wider application of computer-aided design of details and tools, the use of modern analytical and computational methods
  • analysis of mechanical, fatigue and tribological properties of machine elements as well as model and experimental studies of thermal and stress phenomena of these elements.
