About the Centre

The Centre for Innovation and Transfer of Technical and Natural Knowledge (CITTNK) is a department within the University of Rzeszów's College of Natural Sciences. The centre was created by implementing an EU project called the "University Center for Innovation and Transfer of Technical and Natural Knowledge" under the "Regional Operational Program of the Podkarpackie Voivodeship for the years 2007-2013".

The main purpose of CITTNK is to conduct scientific research and provide scientific and research services, technical services, and training. It also aims to promote and disseminate the scientific achievements of the College of Natural Sciences at the University of Rzeszów. The centre's infrastructure is used by academic staff, engineering and technical staff, students, doctoral candidates, and external stakeholders to work on research projects.

CITTNK is composed of nine specialized laboratories and a supporting unit. The centre's research program includes activities aimed at developing knowledge in various fields, such as material technology for industry, manufacturing engineering, materials spectroscopy, control of mechanical and electrical systems, environmental research and monitoring, computer science and applied mathematics, systemic and structural research, financial, economic and social forecasting, and developing methods for shaping an information society.
