The Institute of Biotechnology in the MSCA4Ukraine project
We are pleased to announce that the Institute of Biotechnology of the University of Rzeszów is a beneficiary of the MSCA4Ukraine grant.
The MSCA4Ukraine program is part of the European Commission's activities under the "Maria Skłodowska-Curie" program (MSCA), which is an integral part of the Horizon Europe. The program aims to support research and develop international cooperation in science and technology. The implementation of the project will allow scientists from Ukraine to continue their scientific work at universities and research institutions in European countries.
The MSCA4Ukraine project is implemented by a consortium consisting of Scholars at Risk Europe from Maynooth University in Ireland (project coordinator), the German Alexander von Humboldt Foundation and the European University Association, with the French national PAUSE program hosted by Collège de France and the global Scholars at Risk network.
The implementation of the project will bring many benefits both for scientists from Ukraine who will have the opportunity to continue their scientific career in renowned European institutions, as well as for the Institute of Biotechnology of the University of Rzeszów, enabling to expand our research and international cooperation. MSCA4Ukraine is the next step in building scientific bridges and strengthening scientific cooperation between Ukraine and the European Union, which will contribute to the development of innovation and progress in both regions.
Within the project entitled "Genetic control of the transport and metabolism of lignocellulosic sugar during alcoholic fermentation of thermotolerant yeast Ogataea polymorpha ” research under the supervision of Dr. hab. Justyna Ruchała, prof. UR will be conducted by post-doc from the Institute of Cell Biology NAN of Ukraine from Lviv Dr. Roksolana Vasylyshyn. The project manager will be Dominik Wojdyła, MSc.
