On Feb 3, 2025, an agreement was signed at the University of Rzeszów, which aims to improve security on the University campus and in its immediate vicinity. The cooperation agreement was concluded between the University of Rzeszów and the Provincial Police Headquarters in Rzeszów.

 

The agreement was signed by the Rector of the University of Rzeszów, prof. Adam Reich, and the Provincial Police Commander in Rzeszów, inspector Andrzej Patrzałek. The agreement assumes mutual support in ensuring security on all campuses of the University of Rzeszów, both in Rzeszów, Werynia and Iwonicz. Additionally, the parties to the agreement committed to cooperation in the field of education, social prevention, scientific research and teaching related to public safety.

 

The Rector of the University of Rzeszów, prof. Adam Reich, emphasized the importance of the signed agreement, drawing attention to the importance of cooperation with the Police in the context of ensuring the safety of students, university employees and people visiting university campuses. "Our priority is to create a safe environment for learning, working and development. Cooperation with the Provincial Police Headquarters is a step that will allow for more effective protection of our academic community. Thanks to this agreement, we can count on professional support from the uniformed services, which will certainly increase the sense of security at our University," said Prof. Reich.

 

The agreement between the University and the Police covers a wide range of activities. The Police will support the university in organizing safety training, as well as in preventive activities aimed at students and employees. In addition, the cooperation will also include the exchange of experiences in the field of scientific research related to public safety.

 

The signing of this agreement is another step in building strong relations between the University and its socio-economic environment. Thanks to the established cooperation, the University of Rzeszów will be able to provide its students, lecturers and employees with safe conditions for work and study, as well as strengthen its role as an educational institution responsible for shaping civil society.
