eprObes is a multidisciplinary project funded by the European Union and carried out by a consortium of 18 organizations from 9 European countries. This project includes clinical research conducted at various life stages, focusing on the impact of cognitive processes, lifestyle, and mental health on the development of obesity.
The main goal of the project is to define effective strategies for actively preventing obesity throughout life, with particular emphasis on early developmental stages, from the prenatal period (including perinatal) to adolescence, and to identify determinants of eating behaviors.
Multi-omic research and integrated data analysis conducted within the eprObes project, supported by bioinformatics technologies and artificial intelligence, will enable the identification of effective preventive measures and lifestyle interventions at key stages of development, contributing to the prevention of excessive weight gain and the avoidance of metabolic complications.
