On March 13, the University Athletics Center (UCL) had the honor of hosting the Minister of Sport and Tourism, Sławomir Nitras. The meeting was attended by the Rector of the University of Rzeszów, Professor Adam Reich, the President of Rzeszów, Konrad Fijołek, the Dean of the Faculty of Physical Culture Sciences, Professor Wojciech Czarny, as well as representatives of local government authorities.

During his visit to the UCL, Minister Sławomir Nitras announced two new programs. The first, with a budget exceeding 10 million PLN, aims to support the development of sports infrastructure. The second, with funding of over 5 million PLN, is designed to assist regional sports clubs in organizing sporting events.

The minister also held discussions with local government representatives. During an open meeting, local officials had the opportunity to inquire about the details of the newly introduced programs. This was followed by a press conference attended by members of the local media.

The event also provided an opportunity for the presentation of Ministerial Scholarships. Awards were given to Anna Wielgosz-Sabat, Marcin Wielgosz, and Piotr Ożóg, the coach of the Polish Deaf Football National Team from the Polish Deaf Sports Association.
