Professor Dr Hab. Sylwester Czopek, the Rector Magnificus of the University of Rzeszów, has been awarded the Signum Universitatis Medal
The Rector of the University of Rzeszów, Professor Sylwester Czopek, received the Signum Universitatis Medal awarded by the Rector of the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin.
"This is a token of gratitude for the kind support of initiatives undertaken by the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin regarding the establishment and management of medical studies," said Rev. Prof. Dr hab. Mirosław Kalinowski, Rector of the Catholic University of Lublin.
The Signum Universitatis Medal is awarded to individuals and institutions for the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin, demonstrating dedication, care for its well-being, development, and identity. The medal awarded to Professor Sylwester Czopek, Rector of the University of Rzeszów, is an expression of respect and gratitude for his long-standing fruitful cooperation with academic communities and his kind support of the development of medical sciences at the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin.
"The University of Rzeszów has been offering courses for years that are aligned with the discipline of health sciences and medical sciences. It has experience and infrastructure that we have drawn upon as a model for preparing our own educational and clinical base. Why reinvent the wheel?" emphasized the Rector of the Catholic University of Lublin.
The authorities of the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin emphasize that study visits to the Medical College of the University of Rzeszów have contributed to the success of establishing the Medical Faculty of Catholic University of Lublin.
"We have demonstrated our experiences in creating a medical faculty. The faculty and infrastructure are two essential elements that shape physicians and determine the level of discipline taught," said Professor Sylwester Czopek, Rector of UR."
