Publication of the University of Rzeszow scientists in “THE LANCET”
We are pleased to inform that the results of the research conducted by scientists working in the Institute of Health Sciences and the Institute of Physical Culture Studies (both Institutes of the Medical College of Rzeszow University) have been published in the prestigious "The Lancet" (79.3 Impact Factor, 200 points MEiN).
Dr. Joanna Baran, Dr. Anna Bartosiewicz, Dr. Edyta Łuszczki, Dr. Aneta Weres and Dr. Justyna Wyszyńska (Institute of Health Sciences) and Dr. Piotr Matłosz (Institute of Physical Culture Studies) in cooperation with the international network of scientists "NCD Risk Factor Collaboration" represent the University of Rzeszow as co-authors of the publication "Worldwide trends in hypertension prevalence and progress in treatment and control from 1990 to 2019: a pooled analysis of 1201 population-representative studies with 104 million participants" (https://doi.org/10.1016/S0140-6736(21)01330-1)
The presence of employees of the University of Rzeszow in prestigious publications resulting from the conduct of current and important research on a global scale is a confirmation of the effectiveness of the implemented scientific policy.
The mentioned above article is the sixth material co-authored by scientists from the University of Rzeszow and published in “The Lancet” in the last few years.
