On 1 October, in the Senate hall, the Rector, Prof. Adam Reich, together with Ms. Verena Wanner, representing the donor family, signed an agreement for the donation of the poster collection to our university.

The collection consists of about 45 thousand posters, collected by the late Dr René Wanner (1939–2017), a world-famous Swiss collector and promoter of posters, always emphasizing his ties with Poland and Polish posters.

The collection, which will be taken over by the University of Rzeszów, will probably be the second largest collection of posters in Poland. It contains artistic posters from all over the world on a very wide range of topics, and about half of them are works by Polish authors.
