Success of UR lecturers in the educational plebiscite – congratulations to the winners
We are pleased to announce that lecturers from the University of Rzeszów have been honored in the Educational Plebiscite of the Gazeta Codzienna Nowiny and the portal nowiny24.pl.
In the Academic Teacher of the Year category, the first three places were taken by representatives of our University: dr Jarosław Kinal from the Institute of History of the Faculty of Humanities, dr Joanna Sobczyk from Collegium Medicum and dr Grzegorz Pawlikowski from the Faculty of Social Sciences.
The awards ceremony took place on January 29, 2025 in the Column Hall of the Podkarpackie Voivodeship Office. During the event, the awards were presented by the Podkarpackie Voivode Teresa Kubas-Hul and the editor-in-chief of Nowiny Stanisław Sowa. The plebiscite aims to appreciate academic teachers who stand out for their charisma, ability to impart knowledge and establish positive relationships with students.
Among the laureates, special distinction was awarded to dr Jarosław Kinal, who won first place. Dr Kinal, a media expert specializing in the analysis of media processes and digital communication, is the author of over 100 scientific publications. His teaching and research work, as well as his involvement in scientific projects implemented with funds from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, have gained recognition both in Poland and abroad. It is worth adding that Dr. Kinal will also receive a statuette at the national Educational Plebiscite Gala, which will take place on Mar 15, 2025 at the Royal Castle in Warsaw.

Sabina Grabowska, Vice-Rector for Student Affairs and Education at the University of Rzeszów. This distinction emphasizes the high standard of education at the University of Rzeszów, and also confirms that our teaching staff is one of the key assets of the university.
