We are pleased to announce that on August 1st of this year, an agreement was signed to commence the second phase of the investment titled Podkarpackie Academic Sports Centre. The agreement was signed by the Rector of the University of Rzeszów, Prof. Sylwester Czopek, along with the Vice President of BAUDZIEDZIC, Marcin Baran.

The project's value, based on the tender procedure, is PLN 26,405,785.10, with a planned completion period of 22 months. The general contractor for the work is BAUDZIEDZIC SP. Z O.O. SP.K., headquartered at 8 Lotniskowa Street, 36-060 Głogów Małopolski.

Type of Investment

The investment involves constructing a new facility in close proximity to the existing athletics hall, which constitutes the first phase of the university sports complex project. The new building will enable the centralization of the Institute of Physical Culture Sciences, which has previously been spread across various parts of the city. This investment will provide the necessary infrastructure for the Institute's educational and research activities and will be accessible to the entire academic community.

Scope and Description of the Investment

The Podkarpackie Academic Sports Centre will be a modern facility, fully compliant with current regulations and featuring high architectural aesthetics. The building will be located directly adjacent to the existing athletics hall and will become another component of the University of Rzeszów's sports complex.

The facility will include the following components:

1. Classrooms, including two lecture halls.
2. Research offices.
3. Sports halls, including:  - Team Sports Hall SD.44 for general fitness exercises, team games, physical activities, and individual training sessions.  - Gymnasium SD.47 for general fitness exercises using gymnastic equipment and for specialized training.
4. Locker rooms with sanitary facilities.
5. Sports equipment storage rooms.

Additionally, the surrounding outdoor area will feature a tennis court and an "Orlik"-type soccer field.

- Total floor area: approximately 3,200 m²

- Building length: 80 m

- Building volume: approximately 17,370 m³

The University of Rzeszów has complete project documentation and a legally valid building permit.

Purpose of the Investment

The construction of the Podkarpackie Academic Sports Centre aims to improve conditions for educational activities and research work. The new facility will enable the creation of new study programs, the expansion of postgraduate studies, and the offering of more instructor and coaching courses. This investment will contribute to an increase in the number of students and enhance the quality of education. The complex will also provide opportunities for recreation and active leisure for students and academic staff.

The realization of this investment is a step towards developing modern sports infrastructure that will serve the academic community of the University of Rzeszów and positively impact the quality of education and the conditions for conducting scientific research.
