On June 7th, the University of Rzeszów held a ceremony for the promotion of doctoral and habilitation degrees. The Rector of the University of Rzeszów presented awards to individuals who have significantly contributed to the academic community. Since the last promotion ceremony six months ago, 18 individuals have obtained doctoral degrees and 14 have obtained habilitation degrees.

The Scientific Laurel of the University of Rzeszów was awarded to Prof. Dr hab. med. Artur Mazur, Vice-Rector for the College of Medical Sciences.

This year, for the twelfth time, the Scientific Laurel of the University of Rzeszów was awarded to honour an individual with the highest scientific achievements over the past four years. The committee appointed by the Rector awarded this prestigious distinction to Prof. Dr hab. med. Artur Mazur from the College of Medical Sciences.

During the ceremony, Prof. Dr hab. Elżbieta Feret also presented the Scientific Laurel statuette to the previous laureate, Dr hab. Marcin Wołoszyn, Prof. UR, from the College of Humanities.
