On Jan 16, 2025, an open meeting for students of the University of Rzeszów was held with the Rector, prof. Adam Reich. The event was a unique opportunity for direct contact between the student community and the university authorities.

The meeting was also attended by the Vice-Rector for Student Affairs and Education, prof. Sabina Grabowska, and the Rector's Proxy for Student Scientific Clubs, prof. Marta Kopańska.

 

The meeting began with speeches given by the Rector’s quests. The presentation of representatives of the Podkarpackie Innovation Center, who presented the possibilities offered by Protolab - a modern space designed to implement creative ideas, aroused interest among students. Protolab is not only a place to work on innovative projects, but also a platform for exchanging knowledge and experience, where numerous workshops, training and thematic meetings are organized.

 

Student Activities

 

Another important point of the program was a discussion of the wide range of activities and development opportunities available to students of the University of Rzeszów. Prof. Marta Kopańska, the Rector's Proxy for Student Science Clubs, presented the offer of science clubs operating at the University, encouraging students to get involved in their activities.

 

There were also voices from representatives of the local government and student organizations. Bartosz Gabrychowicz, Chairman of the Student Government of the University of Rzeszów, strongly encouraged people to join the Student Council, emphasizing that it is an excellent opportunity to acquire new skills and influence the life of the University. Wiktoria Schabowska, President of the NZS, appealed to her colleagues to be active in student organizations, which constitute an important element of academic life and develop competences useful in further careers.

 

Discussions about current affairs

 

During the meeting, important topics regarding the University's current activities were also discussed. The study schedule, innovative solutions aimed at improving communication between students and theUniversity, as well as changes in the organizational structure were discussed. Participants had the opportunity to ask questions and present their comments, which emphasized the openness of the University authorities to dialogue and cooperation with students. The meeting was not only a platform for exchanging information, but also an inspiration for active participation in academic life and taking advantage of the opportunities offered by the University of Rzeszów. Such initiatives show the importance of cooperation between students and University authorities and create a space for jointly building a modern and friendly academic community.
