University of Rzeszów and Prison Service: Actions for safety and education
The University of Rzeszów has initiated cooperation with the Regional Inspectorate of the Prison Service in Rzeszów by signing an agreement aimed at jointly improving public safety and order. The agreement was signed by Professor Adam Reich, MD, PhD, Rector of the University of Rzeszów, and Col. Stanisław Kotula, Director of the Regional Prison Service in Rzeszów.
Safety and Legal Education as Priorities
The main goal of the signed agreement is the legal education of youth, particularly students of the University of Rzeszów, regarding crime prevention. As part of the cooperation, both parties will focus on promoting safety, protecting individuals and property on the University campus, and combating drug addiction and other forms of crime.
Joint Educational and Preventive Actions
According to the agreement, the parties have committed to organizing joint initiatives such as conferences, scientific seminars, research projects, as well as training sessions and job fairs. The aim of these activities is to expand knowledge about public safety, addressed to students and academic staff of the University, as well as representatives of uniformed services and other institutions.
The University of Rzeszów and the Regional Inspectorate of the Prison Service also plan to enable students to undertake internships and study visits in the penitentiary units of the Prison Service. This is an excellent opportunity for young people to learn about the specifics of working in uniformed services and gain practical experience in maintaining public order.
