On Jan 17-19 in Rzeszów the 6th Congress of the Forum of Polish Universities (FPU) took place. The proceedings at the University of Rzeszów in the Senate Hall were ceremoniously opened by 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐟. 𝐀𝐝𝐚𝐦 𝐑𝐞𝐢𝐜𝐡, Rector of the University of Rzeszów and Vice-Rector for Student Affairs and Education 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐟. 𝐒𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐧𝐚 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐰𝐬𝐤𝐚.

We are very pleased to announce that Dr. hab. Robert Pązik from the Faculty of Biotechnology at the Medical College of the University of Rzeszów, by order of President Andrzej Duda, received the title of professor of exact and natural sciences, in the discipline of chemical sciences.

Visegrad Fund

We are very pleased to announce that prof. Anna Czerniecka-Kubicka (Director of the Natural and Medical Centre for Innovative Research and Head of the Laboratory of Drug Form Technology and Medical Physics at the Faculty of Medicine, Collegium Medicum) has obtained a research and development grant in the amount of PLN 14,247,552.50.

On Jan 18, 2025, Professor Stefan Turnau, professor of mathematics, educator, teacher, and long-time lecturer at the University of Rzeszów and the Kraków University of the Commission of National Education, the Nestor of our family, passed away with sadness and gratitude.

The winner of the 16th edition of the Jerzy Panek Award for the Best Diploma of the Institute of Fine Arts of the University of Rzeszów completed in 2024 was Ms. Gabriela Rytarowska.

On Jan 16, 2025, an open meeting for students of the University of Rzeszów was held with the Rector, prof. Adam Reich.

On January 13 this year, the first meeting of the Rector's Board in the new organizational structure of the University was held. The meeting was of particular importance due to presence of newly appointed deans.
