Research

Within the discipline of legal sciences, the Faculty of Law and Administration has an "A" category. The Council of Legal Disciplines has the authority to confer doctoral and post-doctoral degrees in the discipline of legal sciences.

The Faculty publishes two scientific journals, namely Acta Iuridica Resoviensia, the Scientific Journals of the University of Rzeszów (previously the Scientific Journals of the University of Rzeszów. Legal Series) and Ius of Administratio. In addition, together with the Statistical Office in Rzeszów, it publishes the journal Transborder Economics.

The Faculty and its employees cooperate with the social and economic environment (e.g. with the Provincial Labour Office, the State Labour Inspectorate, the Diocese of Rzeszów, the Podkarpackie Police) and with legal professional self-governments (the Regional Chamber of Legal Advisers, the Regional Bar Council, the Chamber of Bailiffs in Rzeszów).

In addition, the Laboratory of Criminology and Forensic Science performs forensic expertise commissioned by courts, prosecutors' offices and individual entities. Cooperation with the socio-economic and professional self-government environment results in joint research projects (e.g. Building a system of coordination and monitoring of regional activities for vocational education, higher education and lifelong learning, including adult learning), numerous publications, organisation of scientific conferences together with practitioners, and organisation of seminars and workshops.

The Faculty staff with the members of ELSA Rzeszów join forces on large scale in terms of aviation and space law, inter alia with the representatives of the Rzeszów-Jasionka Airport, not to mention the representatives of legal and medical professions concerning medical law. The outcomes of the collaboration with social and economic establishments are numerous papers, organising not only scientific conferences with practitioners but also seminars and workshops.
