The event attracts immense interest among students every year. During the first final of the 16th autumn edition of the Wampiriada, 56 people participated, contributing to the collection of over 25 litres of blood. 

On October 10th, a meeting took place with the Vice-Rector for Student Affairs and Education, Dr Hab. Elżbieta Rokosz, Prof. UR, and international students who came to the University of Rzeszów as part of the Erasmus+ program or enrolled in English-language medical studies. A representative of the Student Government of the University of Rzeszów, Maciej Mulak, also participated in the meeting. 

The Minister of Health has made decisions regarding the allocation of funds from the Medical Fund as part of a competition. The University Clinical Hospital named after Fryderyk Chopin in Rzeszów, managed by the University of Rzeszów, will receive PLN 300,000,000. The funds will be allocated for the implementation of the project "Expansion of the University Clinical Hospital named after Fryderyk Chopin in Rzeszów in the field of oncology" in Świlcza. 

In the latest ranking of the most influential scientists in the world prepared by Stanford University and Elsevier, 11 researchers from the University of Rzeszów have been recognized. 

On October 2, 2023, at the University of Rzeszów, we inaugurated the academic year 2023/2024. The inauguration of the academic year is the most important celebration in academic culture. In the history of our university, this marks the 23rd occurrence. 

On April 27-28, 2023 the third edition of the international linguistic conference Culture and Cognition in Language took place, whose main theme  was verbal and nonverbal figurativeness in interhuman communication.

The latest results of our scientific project have provided evidence that the Russian aggression against Ukraine, including military actions in the Black Sea, is the cause of the mass extinction of dolphins and porpoises.

Professor Marek Koziorowski was born on 28.04.1950 in Inowrocław. He attended elementary school - exercise school there, and then attended the J. Kasprowicz High School No. 1, also in Inowrocław - a high school with great traditions, attended by, among others, Jan Kasprowicz, Primate Józef Glemp, Prof. Marian Biskup, Prof. Benon Miśkiewicz. Together with Prof. Koziorowski, Prof. Jacek Namieśnik - later Rector of the Gdansk University of Technology - attended one class. Prof. Koziorowski received his high school diploma at the age of 17.

In 2018, the Senate of the University of Rzeszow awarded Professor Anna Blom an honorary doctorate from the University of Rzeszow for her outstanding scientific achievements and contributions to the development of science at the University of Rzeszow.

The University of Rzeszów during the Open Days was visited by over 2 thousand. people. The event was held in conjunction with the 14th University Job Fair.

On March 8, on the occasion of Women's Day, the Resovia Saltans Song and Dance Ensemble danced and sang for the gathered guests on the stage of the auditorium in the A1 building. Rector of the University of Rzeszów, Prof. Sylwester Czopek welcomed and expressed his best wishes to all the ladies studying and working at the University of Rzeszów. After the concert there was a draw of women's gifts.

The Doctoral Promotion Ceremony is an extremely important day and celebration of science for the entire academic community of our University, and above all an important day for people who received a doctoral diploma on that day. It is a tribute to the many years of effort of doctoral students and the scientific supervision of supervisors.

XIV edition of the Jerzy Panek Award for the Best Diploma of the Institute of Fine Arts of the University of Rzeszów. The event took place in the Gallery of the Institute of Fine Arts of the University of Rzeszów named after Prof. Włodzimierz Kotowski.
