Aerobiology is the main topic of my scienfitic interest. Since 1997 I’ve monitored the concentrations of allergenic and pathogenic fungal spores and pollen grains in SE Poland. I provide aerobiological study using volumetric methods (indoor and outdoor); for two years I have been using an automatic system for identification and counting airborne particles (also nonorganic) in real time using RAPID E+ equipment. I’m interested in biology of pollen and spores, their dispersal on short and long distances, and the influence of environmental parameters on aerobiological phenomena. My research also focuses on the implementation of new techniques in pollen grains identification, such as spectroscopy and cytometry. I’m also interested in blue-green urban spaces in the context of ecological services and disservices. I’m a member of several scientific organizations, such as Polish Botanical Society, International Association for Aerobiology and European Aerobiology Society. On behalf of the latter one, I have worked in Fungal Quality Control Group.

As the full professor of botany, I work  at the University of Rzeszów, Poland as a researcher  and academic teacher. I am the Vice Rector of the College of Natural Sciences of the University of Rzeszów.
