CONDITIONS AND RECRUITMENT PROCEDURE (2020/2021)

1. Candidates who possess a document entitling them to study at an appropriate level, on the basis of Admission Criteria (described below), are considered in the qualification procedure. 1 and completed all required formalities.

2. The University of Rzeszów is not responsible for the consequences of the candidate's failure to recognize the information placed on his personal registration account and UR website, and for the data he/she incorrectly enters into the university recruitment system.

3. The candidate for studies shall submit, on the date and place set by the Rector, a complete set of the following documents:
1) application for admission to studies containing a personal questionnaire, printed from the recruitment system;
2) certified by UR for compliance with the original copy of a certificate or other document recognized in the Republic of Poland as a document entitling to apply for admission to higher education studies with transcript of assessments (Article 69 (2) of the PSWiN Act)
3) Two current photographs of the candidate (in accordance with the requirements used for issuing ID cards) and 1 in electronic version (uploaded by the candidate during registration in the university recruitment system);
4) medical certificate confirming the absence of contraindications to undertake studies in the case of recruitment for a faculty with harmful, onerous or hazardous factors;
5) original power of attorney authenticated by a notary public, in the case of a person acting on behalf of the candidate;
6) translations made by a Polish sworn translator or by a foreign translator and certified by the proper consul of the Republic of Poland of documents that are issued in a foreign language;
7) a document confirming the knowledge of a foreign language specified in Admission Criteria ;
8) a certificate bearing the Apostille that certificate that the secondary school -leaving certificate or high school diploma or university diploma entitle them in the country in which they were issued to take up first-cycle or second-cycle studies, respectively (in the case when such information is not included on the document authorizing to undertake studies). The university may also request information about the grade scale used in the documents referred to above from the candidate.

4. Documents confirming the knowledge of a foreign language are also certificates, diplomas or other documents confirming the completion of a secondary school abroad in which the classes were conducted in the same foreign language in which the candidate will study in Poland.
5. In exceptional cases, a foreign candidate with the Rector's consent may submit the originals of the required documents before starting studies.
6. Failure to submit the required documents referred to above by the deadline will be tantamount to the candidate's declaration of resignation from applying for admission to higher studies in a given field.

7. The results of the recruitment procedure for studies are public, by making available in the recruitment system ranking lists of persons participating in the qualification procedure (separately admitted and unaccepted) with identification numbers of the candidates.
8. Admission to studies takes place by means of entry on the student list.
9. Refusal of admission to studies is made by means of an administrative decision. The candidate has the right to appeal to the Rector via CKR against the decision of the CKR regarding non-admission to studies within 14 days from the date of receipt of the decision.

Foreign language should be taken as a compulsory or elective subject at basic or advanced level. If the additional criteria does not determine the number of qualified candidates in the defined admission limit the University reserves the right to qualify fewer students than the admission limit

Notes

Candidates with certificates obtained abroad which entitle to enter higher education courses are recruited according to the rules defined for candidates with an ‘old’ secondary school leaving certificate

1. To apply to medical course a candidate should obtain at least 80 rank points in each required subject in the recruitment process.

Notes:

1. In the case of candidates with an ‘old’ secondary school leaving certificate, international secondary school leaving certificate (IB) or European secondary school leaving certificate (EB) the results reviewed in the recruitment process are calculated according to the rules defined in the general part of the Regulation, with the value of 0.7.

2. In the case of candidates with foreign secondary school leaving certificate or any other foreign document approved by the Republic of Poland as a document entitling to enter higher education courses the results reviewed in the recruitment process are calculated in accordance with Appendix No. 2 to Regulation, with the value of 0.7.

3. Candidates for the medical course in English are obliged to present a proper document** certifying their English level at a minimum B2 or the results of a written secondary school leaving exam at advanced level (minimum 80%) or, in the case of candidates with an ‘old’ secondary school leaving certificate, at least B grade (good) obtained in the final examination, or a diploma of any secondary education or studies in English graduated abroad or in Poland.

4. Candidates applying for the medical course in English must enter a qualifying interview in English. The aim of the interview is to assess the knowledge of specialist language in the subjects reviewed in the recruitment process as well as basic medical vocabulary. Additionally, the interview evaluates the candidate’s motivation to study medicine. The interviews are held in the office of the Recruiting Team.

If the number of candidates does not allow to do the interview, the assessment of the above-mentioned specialist vocabulary level may be performed as a written test. In justified cases concerning foreign candidates it is possible to do the interview via Internet. Should such measures be necessary the decision is made by the chair of the Central Recruitment Committee.

 

The tuition fee per semester of English Division medical studies is 6 250 € ( for a full cycle of study 2020-2026:  75 000 €)
