The topic of  dissertation is: The impact of fertilization and inoculation on the physiological processes of plants, the amount and quality of yield of soybean varieties and soil conditions for subsequent plants”

The aim of the research is to show the impact of inoculation and foliar fertilization on the course of plant vegetation and the amount and quality of seed yield of two soybean varieties (Bilyavka & Orpheus). Inoculants containing the nodule bacteria Bradyrhizobium japonicum and inoculants combined with seed fertilizers will be used for seed inoculation. Foliar fertilizers will contain macroelements and microelements indicated as necessary to obtain a high yield of soybean seeds, as well as elements that are not currently dedicated to its cultivation, but have a stimulating effect on the growth and development of other agricultural plants. The use of new elements will allow for the assessment of their impact on plants and seed yield, as well as the interaction of the impact of foliar fertilization and inoculation on the growth and development of plants as well as the yield and its quality characteristics.

The research hypothesis assumes that inoculation and fertilization used in foliar and seed form, together with the addition of new elements that can have a stimulating effect, will have a positive impact on the growth, development and physiological properties of soybean plants, and will allow for obtaining a higher yield of high-quality seeds. This experiment will also demonstrate the interaction between the use of inoculation and fertilization of soybean plants and the direction of further research work related to the cultivation of this species in agricultural practice. Seed and foliar fertilization will help reduce soil doses of nutrients, which fits into the framework of sustainable agriculture and the current concept of the Green Deal. Moreover, this solution will allow for combining foliar treatments (fertilization, herbicide protection and pest control), which will reduce the number of passes of agricultural machines. This solution will have a positive impact on the cost and energy consumption of agricultural production. Reducing the number of passes will also have a positive effect on reducing soil compaction, which will help maintain its better structure.

Agricultural practice is currently looking for environmentally friendly and more effective ways to obtain satisfactory yields. The research results so far indicate that both foliar fertilizers and stimulants are an important element of the agrotechnics of many crop plants, which indicates the need for further research in this field. The research question concerns whether individual elements applied foliarly have a stimulating or inhibitory effect on nodulation in soybean.
