JOANNA JANOWSKA-AUGUSTYN
Urodzona w Rzeszowie. 1991–1994 studia filozoficzne na Uniwersytecie Jagiellońskim.
1994–1999 – studia na Wydziale Grafiki ASP w Krakowie. Dyplom z wyróżnieniem w Pracowni Litografii prof. Romana Żygulskiego, medal Rektora ASP. Stypendium w Kent Institute of Art and Design w Canterbury w Anglii (1998). Doktorat na Wydziale Grafiki ASP w Krakowie (2008). Habilitacja na Wydziale Artystycznym ASP w Katowicach (2018). Obecnie pracuje w Instytucie Sztuk Pięknych Uniwersytetu Rzeszowskiego jako profesor uczelniany, prowadząc zajęcia w Pracowni Druku Cyfrowego. Zorganizowała kilkanaście wystaw indywidualnych. Udział w licznych wystawach ogólnopolskich i międzynarodowych. Laureatka wielu nagród i wyróżnień, w tym Grand Prix Międzynarodowego Triennale Grafiki – Kraków 2012.

Born in Rzeszów. 1991–1994 studies of Philosophy at the Jagiellonian University.
1994–1999 – studies at the Faculty of Graphics at the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków. Graduated with distinction at the Lithography Workshop leaded by professor Roman Żygulski. Laureate of the medal of Rector of Academy of Fine Arts. The Scholarship in the Kent Institute of Arts and Design, Canterbury, England (1998). Doctoral Degree at the Faculty of Graphics at the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków (2008). Habilitation (Postdoctoral Degree) at the Faculty of Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice (2018). Nowadays she is working as a university professor at the Institute of Fine Arts at the University of Rzeszów, leading the Digital Print Workshop. She has arranged dozen individual exhibitions. Participation in many nationwide and international exhibitions. Laureate of plenty awards and distinctions, including Grand Prix in the International Print Triennial – Kraków 2012.

Abstrakt wystąpienia.
Dotknięcie. Moment komunikacji bezpośredniej w sztuce.
W sztuce, a w szczególności w sztukach wizualnych oraz w muzyce, zazwyczaj mamy do czynienia z komunikacją pozawerbalną, która przyjmuje charakter „dotknięcia”, poruszenia najgłębszej istoty człowieka. Wykazuje ona cechy quasi-sensualne, niemniej dotyka tego, co duchowe. Odczuwanie dzieła sztuki, z jakim spotykamy się w przestrzeni własnych doznań, może prowadzić do przekraczania naszych codziennych ograniczeń. Pozwala też odsłonić wrodzoną wrażliwość, skrytą w potocznych przyzwyczajeniach. Wejście w dialog z prawdą wewnętrzną, pobudzaną przez percepcję dzieła, może z kolei stać się podstawą komunikacji z innymi ludźmi, a także stanowić klucz do bezpośredniego i pogłębionego odczucia świata. W tym sensie przeżywanie sztuki może być również rozpatrywane w kontekście Jaspersowskich szyfrów transcendencji.

Abstract of the speech.
Touch. The moment of direct communication in art.
In the arts, especially in the visual arts and music, we usually deal with non-verbal communication, which takes the character of a "touch", a stirring of the deepest essence of man. It exhibits quasi-sensual characteristics, but nevertheless touches the spiritual. Feeling the work of art, which we encounter in the space of our own sensations, can lead to transcending our everyday limitations. It also allows us to unveil our innate sensitivity, hidden in colloquial habits. Entering into a dialogue with the inner truth, stimulated by the perception of a work of art, can in turn become the basis for communication with other people, as well as the key to a direct and deeper feeling of the world. In this sense, experiencing art can also be considered in the context of Jaspers' ciphers of transcendence.
