DZIAŁALNOŚĆ NAUKOWA:  

Badania w Zakładzie Fotomedycyny i Chemii Fizycznej koncentrują się na fotochemicznych i spektroskopowych aspektach generowania reaktywnych form tlenu w celu wyeliminowania komórek nowotworowych i zastosowania reaktywnych form tlenu jako środki przeciwdrobnoustrojowe.

Obecnie prowadzone projekty obejmują pomiar fotokonsumpcji tlenu w tkance nowotworowej za pomocą Magnetycznego Rezonansu Jądrowego (MRI) oraz syntezę fotouczulających środków kontrastowych dedykowanych do obrazowania molekularnego.

Trwają również prace nad badaniem opartym na chemiluminescencyjnym generowaniu tlenu singletowego oraz pomiary fluorescencji i fosforescencji chemicznej, świetlnej i elektrycznej. Inne prace w naszej grupie koncentrują się na testach enzymatycznych biomarkerów nowotworowych, roli metaloproteinaz w chorobie Crohna, leczeniu przeciwciałami monoklonalnymi wrzodziejącego zapalenia jelita grubego Ulcerative Colitis oraz patomorfologicznych badaniach wywołanych przez fotochemiczne zmiany w raku piersi, prostaty i nerki.
