Miło jest nam poinformować, że dr Oleksandr Korchynskyi, pracownik Instytutu Nauk Medycznych Uniwersytetu Rzeszowskiego, otrzymał grant w ramach międzynarodowego konkursu Narodowego Centrum Nauki IMPRESS-U (International „Multilateral Partnerships for Resilient Education and Science System in Ukraine).

Konkurs IMPRESS-U realizowany jest w oparciu o procedurę agencji wiodącej (Lead Agency Procedure, LAP), w którym instytucją odpowiedzialną za ocenę merytoryczną wniosków jest amerykańska agencja National Science Foundation (NSF).

Projekt pt. „Wielocechowe powierzchnie do wysokowydajnego sortowania komórek (HiTACS) realizowany będzie przez naukowców z Kolegium Nauk Medycznych UR we współpracy z zespołem naukowym z University of Georgia, USA oraz z Instytutu Fizyki Materii Skondensowanej Narodowej Akademii Nauk Ukrainy we Lwowie.

Międzynarodowe konsorcjum, w tym z udziałem studentów i doktorantów z Polski, Ukrainy i USA, łącząc unikatową wiedzę z zakresu chemii, inżynierii chemicznej, inżynierii materiałowej i genetycznej, oraz biologii komórkowej przeprowadzi interdyscyplinarne badania nad innowacyjnym sortowaniem przeprogramowanych komórek pniowych (iPS), używanych w nowym kierunku medycyny regeneracyjnej.

Realizacja projektu przyczyni się do wzmocnienia współpracy międzynarodowych zespołów badawczych oraz kształcenia nowych pokoleń naukowców i inżynierów, dysponujących najnowocześniejszą wiedzą i umiejętnościami.

Polski zespół pod kierownictwem dr Oleksandra Korchynskyiego na realizację swojej części zadań otrzymał dofinansowanie NCN w wysokości 1 079 500 zł

Koordynatorem całego projektu jest prof. Sergiy Mińko (University of Georgia, USA), a liderami zespołu ukraińskiego jest prof. Jaroslav Ilnytskyi i prof. Taras Patsachan (Instytut Fizyki Materii Skondensowanej Narodowej Akademii Nauk Ukrainy we Lwowie)

We are pleased to announce that Dr. Oleksandr Korchynskyi, an employee of the Institute of Medical Sciences of the University of Rzeszów, has been awarded with a grant under international call of the National Science Center IMPRESS-U (International "Multilateral Partnerships for Resilient Education and Science System in Ukraine).

The IMPRESS-U competition is based on the Lead Agency Procedure (LAP), in which the institution responsible for the substantive assessment of applications is the American National Science Foundation (NSF).

Project titled „High Throughput Agile Interfaces for Cell Sorting” (HiTACS) will be implemented by scientists from the College of Medical Sciences of the University of Rzeszow in cooperation with a research team from the University of Georgia, USA and from the Institute of Physical Chemistry, National Academy of Sciences, Lviv.

An international consortium, including students and PhD students from Poland, Ukraine and the USA, combining unique knowledge in the field of chemistry, chemical engineering, materials and genetic engineering, and cell biology, will conduct interdisciplinary research on innovative sorting of reprogrammed stem cells (iPS) used in a new direction in regenerative medicine.

The implementation of the project will contribute to strengthening the cooperation of international research teams and educating new generations of scientists and engineers with state-of-the-art knowledge and skills.

The Polish team led by dr. Oleksandr Korchynskyi has received funding from the National Science Center in the amount of PLN 1,079,500 for the implementation of its part of the tasks.

The coordinator of the entire project is prof. Sergiy Mińko (University of Georgia, USA), and the leaders of the Ukrainian team are prof. Jaroslav Ilnytskyi and prof. Taras Patsachan (Institute of Physical Chemistry, National Academy of Sciences, Lviv,)
