Seminarium z naszym gościem Miguelem
Miguel Angel Ruiz Fresneda obtained his PhD in Microbiology from the University of Granada (UGR) (Spain) in 2019. Currently, he is a Postdoctoral Researcher in the BIO-103 group (https://twitter.com/microlab103) at the Department of Microbiology of the same university. In addition, since 2024 he is a Guest Professor in the Biology Degree of the UGR where he teaches Microbiology II and Laboratory Methods to third- and first-year students, respectively.
His research is focused on identifying microorganisms of significant interest for their application in the bioremediation of contaminated environments. He is also studying the role of bacteria isolated from bentonites in the immobilization of elements present in radioactive wastes including as selenium (Se), uranium (U), and curium (Cm). Bentonite clays have been selected as optimal sealing material in the Deep Geological Repositories (DGRs) of radioactive wastes. Miguel will visit us thanks to an Erasmus+ Teaching Staff Mobility awarded by the Vice-rectorate for Internationalization of the UGR (https://twitter.com/CanalUGR).
Seminarium odbędzie się w czwartek 23.05.2024 o godzinie 11.00 w sali 129, D9.
