About The Forensic Sciences Congress

The program of the Forensic Science Congress includes the organization of the 12th Meeting of Departments, Sciencedepartments, Institutes, Workshops, Research Teams, Laboratories, Forensic Teams and the Polish Forensic Society the 9th International Scientific Symposium of the Polish Society of Forensic Science entitled "Criminal science from the perspective of the quarter of the 21st century."

Place and Date of the Forensic Sciences Congress:

The conference will take place from May 21 to May 23, 2025, at the University of Rzeszów, in building A0, located at S. Pigonia 1, 35-310 Rzeszów.

Language of the Forensic Sciences Congress:

The sessions will be conducted in Polish and English (organizers will provide simultaneous translation).

UNIVERSITY OF RZESZÓW

POLISH FORENSIC ASSOCIATION

The Polish Forensic Association (PFA) is a nationwide organization with over 50 years of history, recognized as a public benefit institution. The PFA actively promotes forensic knowledge and supports the justice system through training, research, and publishing activities.

Within its structure, the PFA operates the Institute of Forensic Science, equipped with a state-of-the-art laboratory that performs expert analyses for legal entities, institutions, and private individuals in various forensic disciplines, including:

  • Document analysis (handwriting and technical examinations),
  • Audiovisual, surveillance system, and photographic analyses,
  • Computer forensics,
  • Voice and sound analysis,
  • Fingerprint and track analysis,
  • Toolmark examination,
  • Biological analyses (including DNA),
  • Physicochemical analyses,
  • Drug and psychoactive substance analysis,
  • Firearms and ballistic examinations,
  • Traffic accident reconstruction,
  • Anthropological and anthroposcopic analyses (e.g., identifying persons or objects in photos or videos),
  • Polygraph testing (for judicial and non-judicial purposes),
  • Accounting and economic analyses,

Other specialized analyses (chimney inspections, hallmark identification, soil studies, etc.).

The institute is one of the few forensic centers capable of conducting handwriting aging and chronology analyses.
