Prof. dr hab. n. med. Izabela Zawlik - dziedzina nauki medyczne i nauki o zdrowiu, specjalność biologia molekularna. 25-letnie doświadczenie w badaniach molekularnych. Studia na Akademii Medycznej w Łodzi, Wydział Farmaceutyczny, Oddział Analityki Medycznej (1994-1999); Wydział Lekarski Uniwersytet Medyczny w Łodzi: uzyskanie stopnia dr n. med. (2003 r.), uzyskanie stopnia dr hab. n. med. (2010 r.), tytułu profesora zwyczajnego (2020 r.) i tytułu specjalisty z laboratoryjnej genetyki medycznej (2024 r.).

Dorobek naukowy i zainteresowania z zakresu badań genetycznych, molekularnych i epigenetycznych w różnych chorobach, głównie w nowotworach i neurodegeneracyjnych. Autor ponad 76 pełnotekstowych publikacji o sumarycznym IF=180, liczbie cytowań=1627, Indeks Hirscha=23 oraz autor i współautor 42 streszczeń konferencyjnych krajowych (30) i zagranicznych (16). Współautor książki pt.: „Hematologia dla diagnostów laboratoryjnych”.

Prof. Izabela Zawlik, full professor in the field of medical and health sciences, specializing in molecular biology. 25 years of experience in molecular research. Studies at the Medical University of Lodz, Faculty of Pharmacy, Medical Analytics (1994-1999); Faculty of Medicine Medical University of Lodz: obtaining the degree of PhD (2003), obtaining habilitation (2010), the title of full professor (2020) and the title of specialist in laboratory medical genetics (2024).
Scientific and professional career: doctoral studies - Medical University of Lodz, Department of Molecular Pathology and Neuropathology, Department of Oncology (1999-2003); assistant (2003-2006) and assistant professor (2006-2013) at the same Department, UM in Łódź; two-year postdoctoral fellowship at the Molecular Pathology Group, International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), Lyon France (2006-2008); two short-term research stays at the University of Melbourne, Monash University and the Australian Synchrotron in Australia (2015-2016). From 2013 to present: head of the Department of General Genetics at the University of Rzeszów and from 2015 to present: head of the Molecular Biology Laboratory at the Natural and Medical Center for Innovative Research of the University of Rzeszów.
Scientific achievements and interests in the field of genetic, molecular and epigenetic research in various diseases, mainly cancer and neurodegenerative diseases. Author of over 76 full-text publications with a total IF = 180, number of citations = 1627, Hirsch Index = 23, and author and co-author of 42 national (30) and foreign (16) conference abstracts. Co-author of the book entitled: "Hematology for laboratory diagnosticians".
Supervisor of 2 KBN/NCN grants, supervisor of 1 FNP grant, supervisor of 1 PCI grant, supervisor of several projects financed by the University, contractor of several KBN/MNiSW/NCBiR grants and manager of two international projects: Australian Synchrotron, Australia/Elettra-Sincrotrone Trieste, Italy. Reviewer at the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Infrastructure and Development, NCBiR and the Medical Research Agency, and reviewer of international grants: Horizon 2020 - ERA-NET, EuroNanoMed and The European Union–Latin America and Caribbean Foundation.
