This international conference is intended as an exchange of experiences in archaeodemographic theory, methodology and models, while at the same time addressing the recent issues of the sub-discipline. Presentations will represent different chronological periods and territories, as well as cross-cultural trends in the demographic development of ancient populations. The planned outcome of the conference is to produce the most recent survey of archaeodemography, a field which has gained renewed attention during the past several years.
The proposed structure of the conference includes the following topics:
• Recent theoretical and methodological issues and advances in archaeodemography
• Archaeodemography: models, methods and simulations
• Archaeodemography: the bioarchaeological perspective
• Mathematical simulations and predictive modelling in archaeodemography
• Field data and their interpretation
The Volunteers team is comprised of students of archaeology at University of Rzeszów.
