About the Faculty
The Faculty of Exact and Technical Sciences was established in 2025 following a structural reorganization of the University of Rzeszów. It offers degree programmes in mathematics, computer science, and technical sciences, available in both full-time and part-time programmes of study. Between 2019 and 2023, the scientific institutes that now form this faculty were part of the College of Natural Sciences, which resulted from the merger of three well-established faculties: Faculty of Biology and Agriculture, Faculty of Biotechnology and Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences.
The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences was originally established in 1965 as part of the Higher Pedagogical School in Rzeszów, which was later transformed into the University of Rzeszów in 2001.
The Faculty of Exact and Technical Sciences consists of four institutes:
- Institute of Computer Science
