Former School in Chotyniec becomes new headquarters for the Field Research Station of the University of Rzeszów
On March 5th, an official agreement was signed between the University of Rzeszów and the Radymno Municipality at the Radymno Municipal Office. The ceremony was attended by representatives of local authorities and a delegation from the Institute of Archaeology of the University of Rzeszów, led by His Magnificence, the Rector of the University of Rzeszów.

- Councilor of Radymno Municipality, Agata Małańczak
The agreement entails the lease of the former primary school building in Chotyniec, along with the adjacent land, by the Radymno Municipality for the purposes of establishing a field research station for the University of Rzeszów. This newly established scientific facility will serve as a base for conducting advanced archaeological research in an area renowned for its rich history and numerous scientifically significant findings.
Since 2013, archaeologists from the University of Rzeszów have been conducting archaeological work in Chotyniec, where they discovered the remains of a Scythian settlement and a unique Greek amphora.
During the visit, attendees also toured the Greek Catholic Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, which is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site.
